Important dates:

Class open date: Saturday September 7th 2024

Classes on: Saturdays only

Location: Chinese Community Center (11 Avis Dr, Latham 12110)

Students will be welcome to choose the program that fits their interests. Tuition can be paid monthly at the beginning of the month. For those who want to enjoy family package discount, tuition needs to be paid by the beginning of semester in full. For all packages though, the first 2 weeks of this semester can serve as a trial period by paying single weeks tuition at the beginning of each class.

Payment by check only made out to Chinese Community Center, with remark Peking Opera, no cash or credit card.

Classes: 

Classes for teens, adults and seniors:

1. Posture & Movement class: 9:00-10:00am（60mins）

Through long sleeve costumes and fan movements training, learning elegant and gracious movements required by Peking Opera.

Tuition: CCC members $20/week (non members$25)

B. Vocal class:        10:10-11:10am (60mins）

Focus on breathing techniques, open up vocal cords, release your true voice. 

Tuition: CCC members $20/week (non members$25)

C. Qing-Yi class: 11:10-12:30 (80mins) 

Peking Opera’s Qing Yi characters are the most elegant, dramatic and historical. Students will be training with multiple Characters from famous Mei Style, Cheng Style and more. 

Tuition: CCC members$30/week (non members$35)

D. Peking Opera Characters class: 2:40-3:40pm (60mins)

Male, Female, all gender students can learn this class, training to sing “Lao Sheng”, “Hua Lian” style of Peking Opera. Characters including the famous “Zhu Ge of The Three Kingdom” . “Bao Zheng of Killing Emperor’s son” etc.

Tuition: CCC members $20/week (non members$25)

E. Body sculpturing & Peking Opera movement class:  4:00-5:30pm

Through detailed body shaping techniques, shaping body and strength core muscle. Engaging with Peking Opera techniques, enhance body posture, general elegance and confidence.

Tuition: CCC members $30/week (non members$38)

Classes for Children and teens:(5-13years)

Similar to gymnastics and Kung fu, part of the Peking Opera performance require flexibility and strength, as well combat skills using wooden spears and sticks. Children will receive training in those aspects, as well as vocal skills for the vocal, singing and characters training.

Students are recommended to join both classes.

1: Peking Opera Vocal class: 1:30-2:30pm

2: Peking Opera Foundation class: 2:45-3:45pm

Tuition：  CCC Members $35/week, non members $40/week。

2 siblings: CCC members $60/week, non members $70/week。

Family package discount:

CCC members: $40/week for 2 classes per week,
$60 for 3 classes per week. (All classes are included in the package)

Non members: $50/week for 2 classes per week,
$75 for 3 classes per week. (All classes are included in the package)
